The Research Lab manages available Research and acts as a special production facility that converts Science into Research Points
Science & Research Point
A few production facilities output Science that gets transported to the Research Center at no fuel cost to be converted into Research Points with no power cost. The default conversion is 100/s Science into 10/s Research Points.
The Reserach Lab can be upgraded to increase input and output capacity like any of other production facility.
Researches
All Tier 1 production facilities and above as well as resource input Power Facilities are locked until researched, where they become available to build on an unoccupied tile.
For a production facility to be researched it will require Research Points and each input resource * 1,000.
Example: Steel Mills require 20x Iron and 10x Coal as input, therefore to research Steel Mill 20,000 Iron, 10,000 Coal and a varying amount of Research Points are required.
The amount of research points required depends on local input prices and it changes every two hours (1 hour for Hong Kong)
